Broadband at Cantley House Hotel

Cantley House Hotel has a wired broadband service in all of its executive rooms. The current trend for all internet services is through wireless communication (which we offer alongside our wired service in our public areas) but Cantley made the decision to use wired hardware because of the limitations of wireless systems.

The two most important limitations are the rapid reduction in transfer rate with multiple users and as well as the security risks present from "hijacking" of signals. With our wired system we can provide high speed internet access even when many users are sharing the connection. The Egress broadband system used at Cantley is completely Plug and Play, using either a standard Ethernet connection or a USB connection, cables for which can be borrowed from reception free of charge. The advantages of this method of internet access are high transfer speeds and no need to purchase extra hardware.

Broadband internet access is available in our executive rooms for a charge of £7.50 per night.
